Is there anything more magical than gliding through the deep forest in a horse-drawn sleigh, the night lit by flickering torches and the gentle sound of bells?
Wrapped in soft sheepskin blankets, you sink into the quiet rhythm of the ride. The horses breathe in the cold air as you drift deeper into the woods, where the bells echo softly between the trees.

When summer comes, the sleigh becomes a beautiful carriage — the same sense of calm, the same connection with nature.

The experience is led by our dear friends Emelie Snickars from Sollerön and Kuskullan from Älvdalen. Dressed in traditional clothing and guiding their magnificent North Swedish horses, they bring a living piece of history to life.

You can also visit them on their own farms, to ride, learn or simply spend time among the animals. Both women are devoted to preserving the North Swedish horse — a cherished native breed — and their work keeps this part of Sweden’s cultural heritage alive.
