The goat was once the poor farmer’s all-in-one work animal — pulling sleds and doing the heavy labor that would otherwise fall to a cow or horse.
Today, Mor Lina runs a wonderful goat farm in Rättvik, where she crafts exceptional goat cheeses in her small dairy using milk from her 70 goats. Each cheese has its own character — there’s something for every taste and occasion. In addition to cheese, she also produces delicious goat meat and beautifully soft hides.

On her farm lives a real local celebrity — Irene the goat, who many children recognize from her role in a popular Swedish Christmas TV production filmed right here at Myrängsgården. Alongside Irene and the herd, you’ll also meet two friendly donkeys and the magnificent Thinker the horse.
